From CBC Toronto's Pearson airport is responding to an emergency involving a plane arriving from Minneapolis Monday afternoon, the airport said in a post to X just before 3 p.m. Emergency teams are responding to the incident involving a Delta Airlines plane, the airport said. All passengers and crew are accounted for, the post said. Peel Region paramedics say they are on the scene. They say they are dealing with eight patients involved in the emergency, but don't yet know the extent of their injuries. taraf but it is what the report said happened in a very similar accident in Africa a few years ago (sorry, but Google-fu is failing: it's currently only returning stories about yesterday's accident but this is not the first time a plan has ended up upside-down on the tarmac with the wings detached)

Splitpair I know personally if in ever such predicament I would brace for the fall and release the belt, if not injured and not smelling smoke or seeing fire would try to help other folks get down from what suddenly became the ceiling, more so if they where lighter passengers such as children.

According to media interviews with passengers, that is exactly what they did.

Not such an unusual sight for light aircraft.
I witnessed the "opposite," ending up upside down on take off, some 45 years ago. The pilot didn't have the experience taking off a short farmer field and that didn't go well. But he got out OK, which is what's most important. Can't remember the type of plane, but it was probably a Cessna 140 or something very similar.

It is quite common for a flight crew to be all women or a majority of women nowadays, unknown to some so called men women can do a lot of so called men's jobs, recently they have gotten into a industry what was considered a male world and are doing quite well and that is construction, a lot of women after discovering how much money they can make in a trade they have forgone college and went into a trade school for way less money in order to make way more money once they graduate commonly with a employer holding a job open for them.

On the other hand a lot of guys have no interest in going into construction as it is too much work in conditions they don't want to work in, too cold too hot and real work, maybe sweat a little or break a nail,

Delta is offering $30,000 cash, with no strings attached to all survivors. Everyone is lawyering up. The aircraft is being removed. There is suggestion from experts that the aircraft did not flare sufficiently on final approach, leading to a hard landing.
