Monday’s USA Belgium match pits our boys against 2 of my favorites to watch: Leandro Trossard, and Kevin DeBruyne. Trossard creates opportunities with speed and craft, and is an immediate impact player when coming off the bench. Kevin DeBruyne is a “generational talent”. He finds openings then connects with passes up and across the pitch. Add striker Romelo Lukaku and we will be hard pressed to come out with a win.
Portugal v. Croatia at 7: 00 PM today on the East Coast. Portugal has an outstanding playmaker in Bruno Fernandez and All Time talent in Cristiano Ronaldo. Mid fielders Bernardo Silva and Diogo Dalot, are solid, as are strikers Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo. But If Croatia has some young hungry talent to go along with solid mid-fielders Mateo Kovacic, and Luka Modric, they may have what it takes to upend the Federação Portuguesa de Futebol. Toss up.
