urbanriot I’d be curious to get an update when you get to season 2 if it redeems itself but at whatever point I quit, it felt like a slog.
I kind of forget how I felt about season 2. But season 1 was a slog. The time jump, and then even after really felt like it was taking a really long round-about to establishing everything.
If I remember correctly, the finale of season 1 sets the events of the conflict in motion. And then they start playing out in season 2. There is at least one big spectacle episode in the middle of season 2.
But overall, the characters are a lot less interesting. I think Daemon kind of spends all of season 2 doing nothing. From what I remember, they kind of rely on a lot on the spectacle of big dragons, and it just can’t make up for having characters that you enjoy watching or care about.
