Guess someone could start a topic here with the Firmware updates being seen. Currently my -500 is still on 6.30.7

broknsymetry There used to be people who posted Direct Links to the latest firmware you could download and push the update yourself. But that was back on DSLR.

Jbob Since 6.27.x the firmware site requires some kind of credential or cookie to be set. No longer openly available.

jsolo1 Interesting how AT&T put a stop to customers downloading firmware, but don’t seem to care about people bypassing with their own ONT.

It’s like they care about some kinds of DIY hackery but not others.

SpottedCat Flashing a firmware file is a lot simpler than implementing a bypass. I bet number of fully bypassed customers is still very small (< .1%? of att customer base). Probably not worth the effort to redo the system to block these.

jsolo1 sooner or later they will probably upgrade all of us to the 620-700

6.34.7 overnight, at around 3AM.

Interestingly IPv6 was down for about 20 minutes post-update.

Got the update around 1:30 AM CST in CenTex.

No dns issues here. Running self hosted adguard home with multiple upstreams including another adguard instance on a vps. One way or another I get dns!!!

jsolo1 DNS… Adguard in a VM and an Adguard on my Raspberry PI. With Unbound running on both too. Debated using a VPS but couldn’t justify it. Already have everything on battery backup and have a generator to power it all after any loss.

Apparently AT&T is giving out credits due to the network issues that occurred. Will be automatically applied within 2 billing cycles.

Has anyone received the text message?

jsolo1 I saw many complaints about AT&T DNS servers on Reddit the past couple weeks, so I assume it’s that. May be less of an issue for folks here if we mostly use our own routers and different DNS servers.

A year or two back I was posting on DSLReports about how bad their servers were back then, but that caused me to enable pass through and get better DNS servers. No issues since then.

adlr Some AT&T Fiber users (in Texas if I recall) were still having issues despite bypassing and changing DNS servers. Some services like Reddit’s (fastly) CDN were still running so slow! Images were loading like they did back in the 90’s line by line, driving some folks crazy! Instead of loading quickly. Many believed that overloaded peering within the AT&T network was the cause. Speed tests all came back perfect. This issue was not happening on other ISP’s (when users switched to their secondary WAN that was with a different ISP, all the CDN content loaded perfectly fast.)

broknsymetry Just got mine Tuesday and it is still on 6.32.8. Anyway to force an update?

I’m not exactly sure when it updated to 6.34.7 but my router’s Device Access Code, Wifi SSID and password reset to default this morning. It took me a while ti figure out what was going on. My VOIP also lost provisioning and I had to call AT&T tech support to get it restored.

Seems like this has been a really long gap in firmware updates.

Shhhhh, don’t poke the dragon. My 320 has been rock solid for months at this point.
