Guess someone could start a topic here with the Firmware updates being seen. Currently my -500 is still on 6.30.7

Tito79 Mine updated today to 6.33.5. I noticed the uptime is now in seconds, not D:H:M format.

Updated this morning and yes, uptime now in seconds which is nothing short of ridiculous for a consumer product and almost completely unhelpful. I guess my calculator is going to get more use.

Was this a more substantial update? I still don’t have it; I’ve not seen them take this long to roll one out before.

SpottedCat I can only provide what I can see. I haven’t had any problems so this doesnt really fix any problems for myself. 1 noticeable change is now the uptime is just a seconds counter. it does not give you DD:HH:MM:SS anymore. Just a plan ##### that seems to increment by the 2nd.

On reddit, there are claims that this update fixed some youtube buffering/speed issues.

Finally got this update overnight. 6.33.5. Can confirm the uptime is in seconds now and am wondering why they’d do that. Not a big deal; I can divide. 🙂

Absolutely no issues. With every update there’s always a few people who claim their settings got lost but I have yet to have that happen.

Mine is/was still on 6.33.5 so I rebooted it. After some time it ended up with a steady Red light. I thought OMG is it bricked? Pulled the power and let it power back on and luckily it booted back up normally…still with 6.33.5.

Anyone noticing any changes in behavior or performance with 6.34.7? Just curious as I haven’t gotten it yet and 6.33.5 has been so rock solid stable.

broknsymetry Not really. You can remove power and plug back in but firmware rollouts are not done at the same time for all regional networks nationwide. They get rolled out whenever that regional network is ready for it. So best course is just leave the gateway alone and they’ll push it to everyone in your area at the same time when your local network is ready for it.

I’m not exactly sure when it updated to 6.34.7 but my router’s Device Access Code, Wifi SSID and password reset to default this morning. It took me a while ti figure out what was going on. My VOIP also lost provisioning and I had to call AT&T tech support to get it restored.
