Guess someone could start a topic here with the Firmware updates being seen. Currently my -500 is still on 6.30.7

Rumors on reddit of a new firmware 6.34.13 being rolled out as of 4/27/26. Nothing yet here in Kansas City area.

I noticed a family member is on 6.34.13. I don’t check frequently so I am not sure when this happened.

Still on 6.34.7 here. Wondering if 6.34.13 had issues and the rollout was stopped. I had heard people complaining on Reddit about IP passthrough problems.

Today I noticed 6.35.8. I am not sure when it happened but based on up-time, I would say August 3rd.

I couldn’t take the gateway FOMO anymore so I finally pulled the trigger and had T upgrade me to the 320 a few weeks ago.

I rebooted the 320 last night and I’m still at 6.34.7 so now I can enjoy the same firmware FOMO as everyone else. 😉

I got 6.35.8 a few days ago, woke up and couldn’t figure out why I had no internet as the Gateway had the steady white light. Rebooted router, did nothing (Gateway in pass through). Rebooted Gateway and voila, internet back. Does this disconnect happen often with firmware updates or is it a ymmv thing?

Back when I had Fiber at my old house, I got a few updates, but if memory serves, it always came back on it’s own. If anything was off, I just rebooted the gateway and presto. So I’m thinking YMMV. Still, have any issues, keep a reboot everything in your back pocket

broknsymetry Wow, what a hassle. Luckily mine just required a power cycle.

smilingbob First thing I did was power cycle but that was no help. Had me boggled for a while. Changing the access code, ssid and pw wasn’t too difficult once I figured out what happened. The VOIP provisioning is no longer a concern. I’ll know what to expect (maybe) next time.

smilingbob in 10 years, I have not had that issue with a firmware update.

FW just updated to 6.35.8 (BGW320-500) while I was online. No issues encountered so far.

smilingbob This happened to me last night. Firmware updated, but IPv4 stopped working afterwards. Strangely IPv6 continued to work.

A simple power cycle on the BGW320 fixed it. However this is disconcerting because what if this happens while I’m traveling? I depend on being able to reach my home network.

Hopefully this won’t become the norm with each update now.

320-500 updated early Tuesday (Sept 1) morning. No problems (so far).
