It likely will. They are using the same firmware versions for the XB7 and newer (not sure about XB6), best I can tell it is the same base RDK-B firmware. Then for the newer gateway models small changes are made, i.e to accommodate the 6 GHz band (XB8), new CPU/DOCSIS chipset, Wi-Fi 7 support (XB10), etc. But UI bugs which aren’t hardware related are corrected for all gateway units in the base code.
@Aceq2jot ’s XB10 on 8.3 fixed the signal levels not populating in the UI.
@jweaver also stated that the issue was resolved in CGM4981COM_8.3p5s1_PROD_sey
And I anticipate once my XB7 gets upgraded from 8.2p7s1, the issue will then be resolved for me.
As of now 15 days uptime, 35 MB free RAM. It was sitting at 49-50MB free for a while. Haven’t noticed any issues though. 32MB RAM free now after half a day. Oh shoot I refreshed the page twice and it dropped to 26MB. Ok back up to 32 MB. RAM management on the gateway’s Linux based firmware interests me.
