NCAA signs off on deal that would change landscape of college sports — paying student-athletes

This is a bad idea. The NCAA should be ashamed of themselves for not allowing scholarship athletes to have any income whatsoever, but this and NIL is going too far in the other direction. Why not just let scholarship athletes do whatever other students do to get an income. A part time job or whatever. This is gonna be a clusterfuck, and maybe cause class warfare between the millionaire athletes and the rest. Or between them and the rest of the students.

ZZZZZZZ I like the K.C.Chiefs,they have a great team……BUT the more they show the airhead Swift and her fake expressions,the more I want Buffalo to beat them next week.

You may not like certain aspects of T.S,. with respect to the Chiefs, however:
1) Taylor Swift is not only good looking, but talented and smart, and I say that in spite of that I don’t liker her music

I’m sure most NFL fans would agree with this but at the same time most would criticize them. The overwhelming issue fans had with the Kansas City Swifties is not that they hated Swift, it’s the amount of time that was devoted in a game to talk about her, her tour, her entourage, etc., which disrupted the experience since you’d have Troy Aikman and Joe Buck meandering around their celebrity-filled life rather than talking about the actual game that was being played while we were focused on Swift.

Most people don’t mind the camera shift over to whoever Swift was up in the box with in between plays, they were annoyed at the play-by-play that was sacrificed to focus on it. The first year she was appearing it was ridiculous, they actually cut out game time to gush about her but they seemed to have calmed down a bit in the past season.

There are few things that gross me out. Maggots, watching other people eat(I have no idea why it bothers me), and legs or arms bending in a way that they’re not supposed to bend.🫣 But I love watching the veterinarian shows on NatGeo Wild and Animal Planet and I can eat dinner while I’m watching a veterinarian do surgery with no problem.🤷

It’s gonna be the US vs Canada in the MLS championship game next Saturday. And once again, Florida vs Canada. I, being your average dumb American when it comes to soccer, haven’t watched much of Inter Miami. Messi is apparently the best soccer player in the world since Pele. Their last 2 playoff games are the first full games of theirs I’ve ever watched. They’re crazy good. Probably even better than I can appreciate. They scored at least 4 goals 3 games in a row. Even I know that’s extremely crazy for soccer, especially in playoff games. I don’t know anything about the Vancouver team.

Is Inter Miami a heavy favorite? I understand point spreads and over unders, but I have trouble with money lines, I guess because I’m not a gambling addict. I think you win $300 if you bet $100 on Vancouver and you have to bet $120 on Inter Miami to win $100. Is that right?

Why is there a money line on Draw? Playoff games can’t end in a draw. Does that actually mean it goes to penalty kicks?

You should take the over on this game and empty your bank account into it.

Early round European league games can end in a draw. It’s the final round games that go to penalty kicks. The odds must be spot on since the house wins most of the time. If it says Vancouver are favored then so it is. Messi is a great player yes, but every great player has been beaten before.

Went to the Bruins on Black Friday, paid more to get better seats than the ones I had on my birthday but still in the cheap seats aka the balcony. That game was like a bad check. 6-2 loss to the Rangers. The Bruins played more like a little league hockey team than a professional hockey team. Had a good time though.

And we are one of the few establishments in town that still takes checks. And I know how to spot a suspicious check. An old lady buying $250 in groceries is a lot less suspicious than a college kid writing a check for $250 in alcohol. I would probably seek manager approval for a college kid buying $250 in alcohol with a check, especially if the check number is less than 500.
