Thanks! Same thing in NYC. I’m from the Bronx, where despite them having moved from Brooklyn to LA in 1958 the Dodgers were always the enemy, and vice versa. But there was that exception in the 1963 World Series when Sandy and Don mowed down the Yankees. Even though I suppose many wouldn’t admit it, it was poetic justice a long time coming. Of course, as usual Giuliani has his head screwed on backwards, being a Yankee fan despite being originally from Brooklyn!
Even though as you know I’ve lived in LA for a long time I have a good friend that I know from out here who is originally from Brooklyn and I once asked him whether he thought Jackie Robinson was out or safe in that controversial steal of home plate in the 1955 World Series. His answer: what do you think?
