Aceq2jot For as long as I remember the coax cable was silver, even growing up as a kid. Heck back when they were doing the 450 MHz to 750 MHz upgrade when I was in high school, the guys were saying some of the lines were 30 years old then. My gosh that means they were up in the 60’s and 70’s, which in our area could make sense because “Berkscable” I think started in 1964. Now obviously new lines were overlashed with old and some rip and replaced while others cut and abandoned in place… but sure we’ve had quite a history.
My neighborhood is an undergorund utilities area and where I live. Comcast put conduit in for coax which is all black cable, and SECV put conduit in last summer. This spring they are going to push fiber though it, so I can’t wait for the snow to melt so they can get into the ground level pull boxes and start pulling! Its coiled up on poles outside our development and they are stringing the aerial portions of the system up right outside of where we live.
