Dks01 I do. Carefully, with minimal lubrication. No “deep”.
I also avoid temperatures beyond browning - burnt is toxic … and tastes bad.

I don’t eat fried foods at all.

I try not to but fried onions go great with a lot of things and of course I’m a huge fan of thick cut fries at fry trucks.

I don’t eat animal things, but my brother does, and he’s not a ‘woke’ kind of guy. In recent years, he was excited to find a chip shop that publicized it was frying in lard (“great traditional British food”) rather than vegetable oil.

His manly opinion: it was disgusting.

Yea, lard is used more out of necessity than flavor. Poor people used to use it back in the old days for cooking (and maybe still do). I wonder why the restaurant used it… and advertised it.

real_aurgathor HFCS is significantly cheaper than sugar, so it’s a fat chance that it will replace HFCS in inexpensive sodas.

However, some premium sodas are still made with sugar, but they often cost more.
