Putin (or someone of his ilk) can ALWAYS be threatening WW3.
The Russians (and the Soviets before that) have had the atomic bomb for 75+ years.
Stalin and Kruschev and their successors never used it…
Dspite some jerks at the top of their leadership, hopefully the current command structure will have enough people who value their own lives enough, or those of their families, to say whoa!

Putin would love to have the Northeast Europe countries such as Finland (lots of historic ties there to Russia), as well as the 3 Baltic countries, as well asd Southeast Europe such as Poland and Moldova.

I think that the “domino theory” was crap in Vietnam, but is very real here.

Putin knows he loses (we all lose) if he starts an all-out war.
Makes much more sense to set off a demonstration nuke, or do an above-ground nuclear test, to get peoples attention.
