broknsymetry I did notice my last visit that the links and tree structure of them seemed shrunken or something like that. I know what I want to say but the words are not computing in my head to type them.

They might have full access to the website.

I would also think that some of these mods would not bother with coming back unless something is happening.

If it were me, I think the middle finger would become involved.

With the fact that this is all being done secretly, we don't know who might even be moderating it. We know that someone is but we don't know who it is.

Everything we have is speculation. This is all being done secretly and what's amazing is that the secrecy is being maintained.

Sometimes I feel like whoever is doing this is just f*cking with us. Don't see any other way to put that.

I only saw her avatar at the top of the Digital Imaging and Photography forum and clicked on it. No other members were shown. I got the full DM screen and it showed her as active 10 hours ago.

Could it be someone impersonating her? Hard to say, but my gut says "Don't trust anything you see here". The only thing I trust is that the SSL certificates are still valid.

If I saw it right, mods aren't the only thing that is disappearing--last time I got in it looked like both the Blue Room (Politics Left Leaning) and The Pub had also vanished. There seems to be some sort of concerted effort to shut everyone out and try to stop everyone from being able to communicate with other members so we can regroup here. If so, it seems like there is something mean spirited going on, the motivation for which I cannot fathom.

It will all make sense in the end I am sure. What kind of sense is to be determined though, Will it be Horse Sense or will it be Nonsense? We may or may not ever know for sure, DSLR was a very techie site so Anonymity was the norm for a vast majority of people there.
Addendum: Also there will be others that are like my nephew that when they are told the truth about something there is always a conspiracy of why that isn't the way it really is.

OT Updates:

I was outside setting up the TNR trap when Peps came back for food. I was able to get her to come to me and let me pet her twice. She didn't really let me do anything else.

I very carefully put everything down so she wouldn't run away. Then when she was eating her food, I grabbed her and held her to the ground and then I was able to pick her up.

I was able to let her into the house and get the door closed. She is in her hiding spot like when we first got her. I petted her there, but I am going to move her to my office since I have a litter box in here. I can then get her food and water. She will be setup in here for a little bit while I wait and make sure she isn't sick. She is about 14-15 years old.

I am going to setup a vet visit for her since she is 14-15 years old and get a check up. I want that eye looked at even though the shelter told me that the eye was fine (She was 8 then). However, this kitty knows how to survive. She went through that horrible fire. Which was one of the main reason we adopted her.

Last time I checked I saw that the open forum was also gone as well. I also noticed the pub being missing as well.

Wonder if they are afraid of the information in those forums getting out. However, I would have loved to try and post a post about here in the open forum.

Maybe it was brought down by Thanos, as portrayed in "Avengers: Infinity War".

Thanos made half the people vanish, now we have half the mods vanish.

Not having permission for the Open Forum is a bit of a headscratcher, but there's no permission for the Blue or Red room either.

On the other hand, the Health forum (another member only forum) was still there and accessible yesterday.

It's not a matter of me thinking so. It simply is. Strange and profane messages were present when accessing the site. We've all seen them. Bizarre access periods. As far as the fake information it's all there on the DSLR sub reddits for a blow by blow. Implications ferried by people unknown who supposedly had inside contacts. https://www.reddit.com/r/dslreports/

It's simply sketchy. If you're going to end a website you simply turn off the servers and delete the data. Maybe put up a farewell notice. Responsible outfits do that. Not so much with children playing a big prank on everyone. Very funny. Ha ha.

Now I can't speak for everyone, but most of us have posted our concerns and to be careful when using the website. We have no idea what is going on. Everything was handle in secret. The site drops off the face of the planet.

We then get a home page of DSLR but nothing could be done with it at first. Then we get to access the site for about 5-10 minutes and then get cut off. Now we could be wrong and nothing is suspect. However, I would still error on the side of being cautious.

This entire situation with the website is suspicious. I mean most website that I use, if the website was going to shutdown will tell the people using that website that the site will be no longer available after a perticular date.

The website would then be shut down on that date, or a day or two after that date.

The only other times I have seen a website jump off the face of the earth is when the company went bankrupt, or the owners gave up. (Which could apply to DSLR).
