Donut417 I (well my better half, actually) obtained it through alternative means. I would not Get D+ exclusively for it, as the latter half of the show drops the ball substantially. If you’re planning on watching a bunch of other stuff while you get the sub, then it would definitely be worth it.

The first season was pretty good. The second season was just ok. But they’re mostly separate stories with some of the same characters, so you could stop after the first one, and it’s pretty complete.

New binge batch starting tomorrow…

I finished King and Conqueror.

It was just okay. I can’t say I was particularly into it in terms of anticipating the next episode. It’s about William the Conqueror (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Harold Godwinson (James Norton) leading up to the Battle of Hastings. I feel like it follows Harold’s character a bit more. I suppose there is little record of what actually happened, so who knows on the details. From what I read afterwards, it seems like the battle in the final episode generally follows what was known.

There’s some politicking early on. Characters end up making mistakes that later cost them. Seems like most of the budget went into the last episode with the battle. I felt like a lot of stuff was glossed over, and other battles happened in away from camera. And between episodes there seemed like some time jumps. Overall, it kind of felt a bit like Vikings. A mildly interesting, servicable swords and armor show. Never really able to create an epic story.

Next up, I started Pluribus.

We’re very guilty of binge watching things, and then have to find something new to binge 😃

We just finished off The Americans, and then ploughed through the new season of Grace, and Midsomer Murders. Caught up on QI s26, and also some Taskmaster (COC IV, and New Years Teat part 1 and 2).

We then streaked through A Thousand Blows season 2.

We are one episode out from then end of Season 10 of Shetland (shakes fist as Britbox not dropping them all at once, but that did drop all of Grace at one. Weird)

We have also been going through the Mission Impossible films, done the first three so far. We have also started watching The Lowdown and have been enjoying it.

We did start Pluribus, and I liked it, but gf wasn’t overly keen, so I’m likely going to binge that shortly.

Just watching Miami vice on Prime right now… It’s hilarious to see how cool everything was back then and now it’s so corny, especially the fashion. 🤔😂

whaaaaat!? I was watching a few episodes and so much of it still felt cool!

One thing I really liked was how the original music is still intact, I didn’t think they’d be able to secure the rights as I’ve found a lot of older shows with mainstream music had to have it swapped out for “TV music” but so far I don’t hear a difference.

I’m just finishing a speed run of “Paradise” via Hulu.

When I first heard about it I thought it was just a mystery so I opted out. After learning about the SciFi angle I figured I’d give it a try. I’m glad I did, it’s fairly entertaining

I finished watching season 3 of The Diplomat. As other have said, it’s more serious. It was just OK. The first 2 seasons were better.

Also finished watching “Steal.” I thought it was good; worth watching, anyway.

I also finished watching “Wayward.” I thought this new show with Toni Collette had promise, but it failed to live up to it. I kept watching, but overall didn’t care for it.

Semi-binge watching the Mission Impossible films. Watched the first three so far. I have not as yet seen “the final reckoning” at all, partly the reason for the binge, but also trying to persuade the kid to watch them, but he didn’t enjoy the first one, so we’re just doing them on our own time.
