I just finished watching “The Substance” via HBO Max, which, IMO had a fairly good start but the wheels started falling off a bit there towards the end. Basically it seemed as if it was a reimagining of “The Picture of Dorian Gray” / Dorian Gray.
I also watched “IT: Welcome to Derry” via HBO Max. This had some growing pains IMO. There just didn’t seem to be anything special about it. The decent parts had all been done before (made for TV / movies) and the unique bits were middling IMO. CGI monsters often aren’t very entertaining or scary.
I also watched “Vicious” via Paramount+, This was entertaining IMO but there were scenes where the camera just lingered on nothing which is never really fun.
