Update on June 26, 2025: Plans have reverted to 300, 500, 1000, 2000. But, now the gateway and unlimited data are included. Bye bye 1.2TB usage cap. Yesterday I called to change my plan to the 400 tier and they offered me the 5 year/$55 deal but without equipment. I said no to 5 year and they quickly offered the $40 for one year plan. So the way they operate really hasn’t changed as existing customers just have to go through the hassle of talking with a rep. They also were pushing mobile hard so had to say no multiple times for that.

(The reason for doing this is that I had changed to higher speeds last week to see if it made any real world difference, which of course it didn’t for me.)

swilliams I wasn’t paying full price but lost some of my discounts. Part of my promo ended earlier this month but part of it was still active and would have extended another 12 months.

Just wanted to give a heads up. Seen one of those Xfinity sponsored post on Facebook, in the comments someone commented that the 5 year price lock was not available for current customers. A member of the Xfinity social media team responded with a comment that it was in the works for current customers, it’s just not available yet.

I get different answers depending on who I talk to. It’s always been that way.

I have a triple play plan & called Comcast & the rep gave me the cost of a plan with 400Mbps that could work for me. He didn’t have access to online plans & didn’t know what they offered. I asked about promos & contracts and he said there weren’t any.

I then went to a Comcast store & the rep gave me a price. He didn’t know what plans the phone reps have. I asked about promos & contracts and he found two. A triple play with 400Mbps with the 5 year price guarantee, but that only guarantees the price of the internet, not the TV or phone. The other plan was a 2 year contract with 1.1Gbps and locked in the price of the internet, TV & phone.

I’m going to call them again & see if something better is available.

Chuck99 I was going to try do a 5 year price lock on the Internet and a 1-2 year promo on the TV service. Supposedly it may be possible to have two separate promotions running on the account simultaneously for different services from what I have heard.

Donut417 This is weird. It was available last week. But now when I go to look for it as an existing customer, it’s missing again.

I’ve got this gut feeling that Comcast may have walked back on offering it to existing customers…

Tried again (five weeks after the last time) for the 5 year or a 1 year as a current customer under a promo. Have 2100/300. Requested via the Xfnity Forums for 1100/300. They offered 5 year only for $99. $29 more than I’m paying for 2100 now and $34 more than the current customer promo here in the West Division. This is the same offer I was given via Reddit in early May.

So still no go for me.

They could have I guess, but postpaid and prepaid are entirely different departments.

You can’t even easily switch between them, you have to cancel postpaid then sign up for prepaid as a new customer.

Looked up mine yesterday. 5 year was $15 more a month.

I dunno, math sort of becomes complicated trying to figure out the future on that one. I guess it is buying peace of mind for that price but oof, quite a hike.

bigcoda I’m seeing the same here. Odd that the X-Class website now redirects to the Internet Service website, that lists current tiers. Seems like they’re rearranging how services are presented.

No idea why it’s listing 300, 500, 1000, 2000 and not 400, 600, 1100, 2100, previously. I think it’s broken at the moment, the Plan Builder is only showing one Xfinity Mobile option for me. I’ll give it a few hours to sort itself out.

Here’s the xclass plans since its rare and you prob will have a hard time getting a needle in a haystack US Address to show these.

300/300, 1000/1000 and 2000/2000 stayed the same price, but 500/500 went from $65/m to $70/m. They also removed the legacy 400mbps for $40 plan. Its gone completely. You can now add Xfinity Voice Premier for +20/m to these plans where two weeks ago this was only an option on the legacy 400mbps plan. I posted about that in another thread. The work around back then was set up the 400mbps plan, add phone, then go back and edit the internet plan speed. Guess they have a D4 emta now.

The zip code used here is Glenside PA 19038. You can use that or find an address in Willow Grove PA area. Google streetview shows Arris OM6000 nodes, but I haven’t seen any amplifiers or line extenders. So OM6000 Node+0 network.

kmax I did the math back in April when the 5 year price lock came out. It turned out as long as you keep the service for 25 or more months, price lock is a better option. Otherwise Years 1 and 2 is the same cost, just spread out differently.
If you are in a very competitive market and plan to switch providers every year, then don’t price lock.

At least for me in the West, they have now raised prices and dropped speeds they’re advertising for new customers.

Yesterday, it was 400/600/1100/2100. Now it’s 300/500/1000/2000. Prices for the 1 year have all jumped, the 1100/1000 down was $50 yesterday, now it’s $70. 2100/2000 down is now $100 from $70. The 5 years all jumped too.

And worse, yesterday, 1100 was 300 up. Now it’s 100. And the 2100/2000 down was 300. Now it’s 200 (or maybe 250 as that’s what it says. Used to be 316 or something like that).

Honestly, fu** these guys. Fiber can’t come soon enough.

From the few photos of the XD4 “Xfinity Advanced Modem” for D4.0/X-Class service, it appears to have two RJ-11 telephone jacks at the rear. But if they are not enabled, they may have to just add a separate eMTA device with a splitter
