That is a good deal for Gig speeds, and gives you price certainty, assuming you expect to live in the same home for five years. How much is the 1-year price, out of curiosity?
For someone who a) doesn’t need unlimited data, b) doesn’t want to rent a Comcast modem, and c) is willing to go through the hassle of signing up as a “new customer” periodically, I think the 1-year deal is the better option, but I can definitely see the appeal in locking in a good value for 5 years.

I guess this is a big advantage. For the same speed tiers with same features (e.g. Peacock Premium for 2 years at 1100Mbps and above), my prices are (1 year / 5 year):
400: $40/$55
600: $55/$70
1100: $70/$85
2100: $100/$105
Pricing strategy is such an interesting thing. The 2100 speed tier is priced at only $5 more per month to lock in a 5 year price. I wonder if this implies they expect to lower the 1-year rate for this tier in the future?
