There's a Current Events forum for that. A decision should be made in the guidelines if political topics are part of this community. My vote is No, but it's the site owner's decision.
[deleted] - I agree. The slider thingy is getting old. On my desktop view, it's a constant struggle to continually slide to "load" more posts. Going directly to the "Now" post will skip other posts and cause one to miss important parts of the discussion.
