All I can say is you’re wrong and I’m assuming you’re wrong because you don’t have kids. Every generation of kids have seen this movie and every generation of girls cherish this movie. My daughter cares as much for the original Disney cartoon versions of Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, as my wife does.

… who said that? You’re conflating two issues; The movie’s been desecrated by someone who’s insulting the people who loved the original. Tying to my last post, I feel you underestimate how people feel about the media they love… especially females.

I say this with all due respect but you couldn’t be any more wrong.
Pause for a moment and consider this - if a little girl was born 4 years ago, she has no concept of when Frozen or Beauty and the Beast or Sleeping Beauty came out. But she’s introduced to all of them around the same time of her life and all of them are her favorites.
Our granddaughter can’t stop watching The Santa Clause which came out in 1994, The Land Before Time movies which came out between 1998 and early 2000s, and Finding Nemo from 2003. As crazy as it sounds, we have a stack of movies on VHS along with DVDs and Blurays. Despite the fact that we do have Frozen and Moana and Encanto and all the Toy Stories on Blu-Ray, she will constantly pick up Finding Nemo or Santa Clause on VHS to watch.
Now fast forward 20 years from now and some actress comes out and denigrates the stories of Santa Clause or Finding Nemo, I guarantee you our granddaughter would be pissed because she loves those movies.

I’m not missing the point, I simply disagree with your sentiments; She went viral because of what she said, not because of influencers “rage-baiting” their audiences - her clip was shared amongst people that weren’t anyone’s audience, he clips were shared on TMZ and other outlets.

ugly95 I’d be more concerned about what it says about someone’s vulnerability to being strung along and rage-baited into being deeply invested into something that you, admittedly, didn’t care about, but okay.
