Not true at all. The software and features are entirely different.

FSD is entirely new software from top to bottom. Autopilot is no longer being updated, hasn’t been updated in years now. The capabilities are severely limited compared to FSD.
No, you either have to buy a new car or pay for a hardware upgrade, if possible. Which is why many people who care about FSD just lease a new car every 2-3 years.
