Looks like they’re starting the 2nd round tonight, even thought the first isn’t over. I’m pretty sure my first round predictions were bad. Especially in the Eastern Conference, which is what I’m more familar with. So I probably did better with my pure guesses than my ‘educated’ predictions.
I got Carolina right but I had 7 not 4.
Buffalo wrong.
Philly wrong.
I did have Tampa in 7, so that’s still possible.
I got Colorado right but in 5. And that was pretty much a layup.
Vegas in 6 I called correctly.
Minnesota in 6 I called correctly
Edmonton wrong.
So 4/7 with two games called accurately.
2nd round:
Eastern Conference
M1 Carolina vs. M3 Philadelphia
Carolina in 5 - It seems like Philly plays the same way as Carolina. Shut down the other team’s offense. But Carolina does it better. The only way I see this series go to Philly is if playoff Anderson shows up again.
A1 Buffalo vs. A2 Tampa Bay OR A3 Montreal
Buffalo in 6 - Hard to call when you don’t know the opponent. Buffalo is the series I didn’t watch. But haven’t been really impressed with either Tampa or Montreal so far.
Western Conference
C1 Colorado vs. C3 Minnesota
Minnesota in 7 - This is going to be my big upset call. Minnesota seems solid.
P1 Vegas vs. P3 Anaheim
Anaheim in 6 - I guess this is another upset call. Anaheim seemed impressive against Edmonton. Maybe Edmonton just sucked. I think this is more that I want to see Torts lose.
They’re also saying that McDavid had a fractured foot.
