Pittsburgh is out. 0-0 game almost through the first overtime. It felt like Pittsburgh was tiliting the ice as the game went on. They mostly owned the overtime. But we’ve seen time and time again, where one team in OT has all the chances, can’t bury anything and then the other team gets one harmless looking shot and it goes in.
Not that Pittsburgh was a real contender, but that was probably the last serious chance at a run for Crosby/Malkin. It’s kind of crazy that the two of them were able to both put up a point per game this season at age 38/39. I can’t imagine they could do it again next year.
Only games in the West are on tonight. For some reason I have a hard time to getting into those games. Must just be lack of familiarity.
