I am on the gig tier and it used to say 1000 Mbps down and 150 Mbps up. My account now shows 1100Mbps down and 300 Mbps up. I tested and I am indeed receiving the new speeds.

bigcoda The 1.2TB cap has been around for like 5 years now. It's overdue for an increase or elimination. There is hope that the cap will not be present after they transition to X-Class DOCSIS 4.0 tiers.

If the Cap wasn't present then i wouldn't need to pay extra for Xfi Complete lol honestly. but we were going over in the past, so for now i keep paying Xfi Complete

Heck i'd settle for a compromise for Highest Tiers Gigabit, Gigabit Extra, and X2 to have like around 2TB or 3TB--very unlikely i'd hit 2-3TB that often, i rarely do now, highest was 1.8Gb for one month looking back on the usage history even though unlimited right now

Anyhow happy with the slight boost on Standard service for the Upload side, and Download side, anything is welcome to me

Amazing...now at 1100/35 from the gig plan.

Use to have gig extra, worked out a promo 2 months ago over reddit and the team. They suggested the gig plan and had a deal. Took it, sort of lamenting the upload loss. Now I see they did me a favor.

im pretty sure this speed upgrade is absolutely worthless to the 2000/300 to 2100/300 as we were already pretty much maxing out the 2.5gbit port on the modem. hopefully xb10 comes out sooner than later with a 10gbit port.

absolutely love the fact that all basic tiers get 35mbit upload, want to reboot my parents modem to see if its working for them.

Just like the XB8 was initially limited to just those with the highest HSI tiers. Reports suggest that the SoC availability will be constrained for quite some time, so Comcast will want to make sure those that do get X-Class service can get a device capable of delivering on the promised service speeds, so I would expect restricted availability for at least a few years (of course, maybe Comcast will surprise me, and offer X-Class service everywhere on a very expedited schedule..... (I think Comcast stated they still have around 50% to go just for mid-split)).

videomatic3 Agreed. I sometimes hit 2000 on a good day or early mornings. 2100 means nothing. I hope the wires that serve me can actually support the full speed symetrical when it arrives sometime in the future.

New Download Speed of 1100Mbps listed and Upload speed of 35Mbps

Then Restarted Gateway
and Then had the new Speeds

Tested on Wired Desktop First
Then Tested on my Galaxy S25 with Wifi 6E, and got near as much as Desktop tested at

Overall its working well thus far from what i can tell

I'm not the most heaviest user, but not that light of user either, though somedays are lighter usage than other days

Historically Comcast has waited to make sure that such changes are actually rolled out across the region before any email (schedules can change, and the group that does the emails is not the same as the group doing the technical provisioning changes, and it can be (more than a little) embarrassing if the email happens before the actual provisioning changes are complete).

My parents were on 150/20 in the northeast region, and it looks like they were just forced onto 400/35, I assume at the increased price also (over $90/month rack rate).

If you shop as a new customer in the northeast region, 400Mb is now the slowest they offer to new customers.

Looks like this is the first time I’m aware of they were forced onto a more expensive tier.

I will be switching them to NOW Prepaid for $30/month after this.

I was happy they finally got rid of 1Gb vs. 1.2Gb tiers since that seemed extremely redundant, but now they have 1.1Gb, 1.3Gb, and 2.1Gb?

What Einstein came up with those numbers? So ridiculous.

Who would pick 1.3 over 1.1?

Man-of-Leisure before this update it was 1000 and 1200 and the difference was 20 upload and 35 upload. since then in speed enhanced areas the 1200 has been moved to 2000. so youre right. 1100 and 1300 is dumb but 1300 doesnt exist anymore in a lot of areas.

Well I do agree with you when it comes to the Sub-Split areas, now that they made the upload speed 35 Mbps across the board. It used to be the Gigabit Extra 1200/35 had a advantage over the Gigabit 1000/20 Mbps. With that said, there is no 2.1 GB tier in Sub-Split areas. And there’s no 1.3 GB tier in enhanced/Mid-Split areas. The gap is a lot wider in Mid-Split areas between the 1.1 GB and 2.1 GB tiers.

Yes, no email yet, but when I just brought up the Xfinity app and checked my current Internet plan, it does show the boost of my Connect More tier to 400/35 now. 🙂
