The hummer EV is an inefficient pig. It's over 2000lb heavier than the cybertruck, f150, and Rivian. It's battery is around double the size of Cybertruck, but it only gets about 20% more range.
The cybertruck is certainly a polarizing look, but I actually like it (I also liked the aztek so I'm likely just weird). I have seen a couple in person and they do look better up close. I also like it because it has quite a bit of new technologies and cool features in it, which I appreciate. It's too expensive, or at least was at launch. It's closer in price now to other ev pickups.
If I could afford an electric pickup, it would certainly be in the running. We don't really need a pickup, but we do tow a camper a handful of times a year, so need a larger vehicle for that, and a ev is a lot less wasteful than gas the other 300 days a year we're not towing. We're usually going less than 500km for camping, so if we have to make a few charging stops on those trips it's not the end of the world. It would be more than offset by never going to a gas station the rest of the year, several times over. Ideally we'd get something like the Kia EV9 (3 kids so three rows is nice) but it's tow capacity maxes at 5000lb, same as our current Santa Fe. We'd want something with a bit more incase we want to replace our 20yr old camper.
