Josh Gad says the Spaceballs sequel will be well worth the decades-long wait. Gad, a self-proclaimed “diehard” Spaceballs fan, then detailed, “This is very much a sequel," adding: “This is very much a continuation of that movie, and, more than that, it's a celebration of all things Mel Brooks.” https://people.com/josh-gad-gives-spaceballs-2-update-watch-8776881 Hope they can pull this off decently. Sad that so many of the actors have passed on (John Candy, Joan Rivers, Dick Van Patten)... But still hoping.

ugly95 Actually that still is confusing. Because the 1st trilogy is still the 2nd chronologically in the movie’s timeline.

I always identify the films by title or by number (for the trio of trilogies that is 123 or 456 or 789).

Anything else descends into chaos and madness.
