You are entitled to belive that is what matters to you. But customer service and professionalism is important to most people. Frontier’s CSR experience is well known to be poor. When things work, as they do for me, it’s great though.
But I’ve been lied to, misdirected, and improperly handled on some occasions. With GNS you get local people who care locally.
You don’t have to use their Eero and it’s good to not do so, but when there is a problem where their cue cards call on them to rely on the back door to the Eero to provide support, they may blame the problem wonrly on your hardware or what have you. It happens. Most keep the Eero around with that in mind.
Also, you pay to return your Eero.
How would CGNAT limit you, I’d like to know more. If you buy the IP from GNS, it’s static also.
They both have good and less good aspects.
However, don’t expect prices to stay low. Verizon is taking over, which will likely slow deployment and increase prices with not room for complaint. Verizon isn’t really vested in Fiber yet, they just claim they are.
