egeezer September 29, 2026 will be nine years since I lost my Alaskan Malamute. The Chihuahua was adopted shortly after I lost the Malamute. My cat died eleven months later on August 29, 2018 from old age (we had him put down) because he was having trouble breathing and having issues with hyperthyroidism. My Alaskan Malamute had severe arthritis and was suffering from cancer.
My Chihuahua is starting to slow down. Only time will tell how much time I have left with him. It will be devastating when his time comes because he is the last pet me and my mom shared together. I am kind of split on my next pet on whether I get a dog or a cat (or possibly both).
