Dks01 BTW, US CBP agents have been on Canadian soil and acting here for decades. If you ever went through US Customs pre-clearance at Pearson or another airport, that was a CBP agent acting in Canada.
I was aware of some of this. My understanding was that they were also granted certain powers of detention on Canadian soil, which I wasn't too thrilled about at the time, either. But none of those were established under an administration that repeatedly made it sound like our sovereignty was under threat. Even if President Comb-Over knows that he isn't really being serious, some of his supporters surely don't, and if January 6, 2021 taught us anything, it's that that can be a dangerous thing.
