Firefox loading Broadband Bulletin "something went wrong".

Hi Everyone, I am using Firefox (134.0.2) to load Broadband Bulletin but every time it says "Something went wrong while trying to load the full version of this site. Try hard-refreshing this page to fix the error". I refresh in Firefox and still has the same thing. Also I have cleared the browser cache and cookies and history and still the same error. When I use MS.Edge (134.0.2) there are no error messages. With Google Chrome (Version 132.0.6834.160) there is no error. I just want to let everyone know if you are using Firefox to browse Broadband Bulletin there will be errors.

broknsymetry Start typing, "smi", "fro", etc. Different emojis will appear. It confused me at first too, I thought you actually had to type in the box at the top that says "Type to search for an emoji". 😕

Ahhh! OK, that is how that works. I also noticed you can do the same when you type a colon and then a character instead of clicking on the emoji icon. I prefer typing and then GUI since I grew up with command lines. See, we're learning something new. We're so used to the old DSLReports.com's outdated forum software. Thanks! 😉

mikecintel Thank you for the screenshot, Okay I have seen those before but mine disappear quickly and I go on about what I was doing never had to restart, I notice when it did happen I would also notice that a thread or two had been merged with another. Maybe that is somehow related.

You're Welcome. I see and yes maybe somehow that is related but I got my issue resolved and it is with Avast like you said on Tuesday 2-4-25. I already emailed Avast about the problem. I have to see if what Avast say. Anyway, I will be in the office and I will try to go to BBBF and see if that problems occurs in the office. I will update the forum here to let everyone know how it goes in the office.

Same here. I have seen this on rare occasions and just figured that the "wizard behind the curtain" was updating something on the forum.

One thing I would do when troubleshooting a computer is with windows 11 I believe it is in the task manager now, but you can disabled all of your start up programs. Then you can test to see if you get the issue. Keep re-enabling each one with a reboot until you get to the problem child software.

It used to be MSconfig to disabled all start up programs, but I am not sure if Windows even has that anymore.

However, for me it's been a while for troubleshooting windows issues.

I have been working with Macs now since about 2015. I used to dual boot windows on my laptop and a iMac, but I got rid of them. Now I just use my Mac Studio. I also have a MacBook Pro M1 but I gave that to my mom to use for now, until I take her MacBook Pro to Apple. She spilled some water on the keyboard and it got onto the motherboard. The computer worked for about 2 months afterwards and then died.

I have AppleCare on it, so I will just get it repaired. Then I can get mine back and trade it in for a newer MacBook Pro.

Yes I have W11 at work. I have to update my W10 to W11 later this summer at home on my home computer. Ms Config is still there but it is not the same as the old MS config. There is a utility for MS.Config (Classic) and you can download it here https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/classic_msconfig.html for anyone that's wants the old classic MS.Config. Thank so much for the suggestion.
Ahhhh... I see you have a Mac. I have a Mac too and it is a Mac Mini late 2009 and I bought it when I started in IT in 2009 and we use Lotus Notes back then and every faculty or staff has a Mac at home and since I work in IT I need to how to use a Mac. So I bought it just for Lotus Notes and how to use it on a Mac. Now it is collecting dust. I still have the Mac but if I want to use it I have to change the battery inside the Mac. Now I mostly use my PC at work and at work. Apple Care is great I use when I got my Mac. I see about the trade in.

Yes I use the Avast utility and it worked it didn't have that error but then when I reinstalled Avast it came back. So I had to report it to Avast. Thank you 🙂 I am up early and it is 4AM EST and I have to get to work at 8AM EST. I leave the house at 5AM EST.

Hi Everyone,

As promised I would update everyone here. I am in the office and when I sign in and go back fourth to different forms in BBBF it doesn't have the error message anymore in Fire Fox like yesterday when I was in the office. It probably a glitch yesterday while I was in the office to test it because it works normally.
