iahawkeye83 your only option was analog cable on an SDTV 4:3 aspect ratio. You had to deal with A/B switches or rent a cable box
Lol, I remember those A/B switch days, when Continental Cablevision first came to Stockton CA, in 1980. There was no cable box option, when they first started out in Stockton. You had to use there A/B switch, with the tuner on your TV. The House that I’m currently living in, was built in 1983. It still has the pre-wired dual RG59 inside the walls, that I no longer use. After Comcast took over in the early 2000’s. Comcast had to run a new RG6 drop, and two RG6 lines to the bedrooms. Back in those days, Comcast’s allowed there third party contractors to do inside wiring, boy were they horrible. They ended up stepping through my sheet rock, while up in the attic, and breaking my sprinkler pipe in front, while installing the new drop. Comcast ended having to send another third party contractor out, to fix all the damage the other contractor caused. My RG6 drop is getting really old, eventually it will need to be replaced again, Lol I’m dreading that day.
