Anyone have a copy of the DSLR (or otherwise) list of HighSplit locations and phasing? Bonus if it also has the status's of each.

Motorola870 Well, they changed something in my area after they took over Cox. And I have no Cox service areas near me. But since the take over, my service has gotten worse, multiple 5 minute disconnects a day, but it’s always fine on their side and they keep trying to push their router on me.

I am wondering if they are deploying Vecima nodes in phase 1 areas now on top of the Nokia 5g small cells. My modem went out this morning and noticed what looks as large as the NC4000 node in my neighborhood on an adjacent cable span that is the same color as Vecima equipment. Maybe for node splits?

Jaybonaut I am wondering if they are still having issues with the Vecima nodes or are having backorders on high-split equipment. It does seem odd that they are now 10 months past the original two markets that were supposed to go live at the end of 2025.

They seem to be moving on to 1.8/2GHz passives when possible as needed and curious when phase 3 starts when they replace every passive and active to 1.8GHz.

Just dropping in to say Hi. Long time no see, everyone!

Jist reiterating what penberth has been mentioning. My node was replaced over a year ago at this point and we are still at low split speeds. Bandwidth consistency had remained but the outages have been much more frequent since my last posting. I still have no idea if the outages are due to equipment troubles or if they are due to maintenance, as they typically happen after midnight, but only one of them was accompanied by an outage notice. The rest? Just casually going down for 5 minutes to 5 hours. Signal levels are fine, it’s just the entire neighborhood.

They were having a lot of outages in other parts of the city over the summer. Haven’t seen every node wind up replaced yet, but the majority seem to be taken care of at this point. They have to be close by now to getting the high split tiers turned on!

Smith6612 At least you can tell they are doing work in your area. I still can’t tell if they are doing work or not. But I did find one little area serviced by my headend that was upgraded to high-split. A trailer park in the town 3 miles south of me. That’s it; a single trailer part was upgraded to high-split. Not the town where the head end is, which has an FTTH provider, or the town with the upgraded trailer park, which has two FTTH providers.

This is the same for my area. I dont know of anywhere around that doesnt have a replaced node. Pretty sure amps have been replaced as well.

And again, weve at least 5 different FTTH providers in the metro area, in some places they are even overbuilt. Charter is loosing their lunch over this in anywhere its available, and they are still rolling out more fiber. The local ILEC (brightspeed) is rolling out largescale brownfield fiber (very slowly, but steadily). Once its done, I think most will move to it further, where the mainstream FTTH providers are not at.
