Jaybonaut For me in suburban Buffalo, NY area, we have been upgraded for just over a year. They started upgrading the plant in my area in September 2025.
The public page that Spectrum had published and was keeping updated had showed most of the head ends around Buffalo updated by December 2025.
The only thing that I worry about is that the only public updates we are getting from Charter area saying generic things like:
“The other one is our network evolution, which is the upgrade to symmetrical and multi-gig speeds and providing some of these reliability characteristics that I talked about before. That’ll be largely done at the end of next year. ”
They aren’t saying anything sooner. I really hope we don’t have to wait until the end of 2027 for better speeds.
