Anyone have a copy of the DSLR (or otherwise) list of HighSplit locations and phasing? Bonus if it also has the status's of each.

I’m on the “gigabit” tier here and the upstream is still at approx 40Mbps. No noticeable change.

skriefal I think they are pushing high-split out faster in places with actual FTTH competition.

Locator requests were placed a couple weeks ago in my area for a fiber provider, and I noticed last week that quite a few Spectrum tap covers had recently been reseated, suggesting someone was inside, along with the node cover and battery cabinet door.

I have a feeling Spectrum is now prioritizing our neighborhood to try to beat them to lighting up service.

xpxp2002 Sadly, there are no locator requests on my block for an FTTH provider. But my parents have had FTTH available for close to a year. And Spectrum just turned on high-split for them…….

Let me update that: there has been a single locator request in my neighborhood for the past month on Gopher State One Call. It is for the big tent the town puts up every year for Spud Fest (town carnival).

If only. None of the big cities in NC with FTTH is supposedly even had high split started. The places reported completed, havnt been turned up yet, despite it being “complete” for months to possibly a year at this point.

zapman987 I’m on Spectrum Fiber in rural Caldwell County and got symmetrical speeds on all plans back in June. I’m told this means the high split upgrades were completed in town.

fmj77 That was the traditional wisdom, but I can speak from direct experience that they’ve moved forward with updating the FTTH plans even in areas where HFC is still on the old split/plan packages.

(We have a few competing FTTH providers that are overbuilding around here, so they were probably starting to feel that squeeze, even on their minty-fresh PON builds.)

Spectrum is now saying this on their official forms about high split upgrades, and removing any posts asking for further information.

Customers will be notified by their preferred communication method (email or text) when upgrades are available in their area for a specific service address.

smccloud That’s sad. Those tables on the support forum were probably the most transparent thing Spectrum and its TWC-side predecessors ever did going back to early DOCSIS deployment in the 90s.

And this basically means there will be no official communication until long after customer-visible OSP work has completed.

xpxp2002 They got rid of the tables a long time ago. Someone made the decision that any form of transparency was a bad thing, and it sucks.

CBusdude I’m sure. I knew they’d never get all that done as quickly as they claimed they would. It’s why I kept saying upgrades should have started 8-10 years ago.

I’m really curious to see if the fiber activity in my neighborhood is going to bump us up the schedule. So far I haven’t seen any more evidence of field work since the node enclosure, battery cabinet door, and tap peds were all opened about two weeks ago.

xpxp2002 I’m wondering if Windstream will get me fiber by November like they say they will, since they will probably beat Spectrum, and Networx Broadband seems to have stopped expansion🙁

I finally found an archive of the HS availability table right before the great purge! Now we can see why they removed it. They were continuously failing to even come close to the timeline they’d been providing.

The cities/hubs listed in the table below are estimated to launch symmetrical service within 6 months.

Partial completion indicates 1 or more hubs completed, but not the entire city. The city listed corresponds to the location of the hub, and while your city may or may not be listed specifically, it’s possible to be served by another nearby hub as it’s not strictly based on any geographic boundary.

These cities/hubs listed in the table below reflect upgrades completed, but not yet enabled for symmetrical or higher speeds.

While upgrades may be completed, this would not indicate symmetrical or higher speed tiers being available within 6 months. Once estimated to be available within 6 months, it will be added to the listings in the table above.

The following table includes cities/hubs estimated to have upgrades completed by the end of June 2026 with no estimate on symmetrical availability.

The remainder of 2026 and beyond - there are over 900 additional cities/hubs that are estimated to be completed later this year or in 2027. Please check back for future updates.

I can tell you that communities serviced by Willmar, MN have been having high-split turned on. Where as those serviced by Buffalo, MN have not. Buffalo was completed first, but Willmar has more proper high-speed Internet competition. Supposedly in Big Lake, MN where I live they have been upgrading nodes, but I think it is only where there is FTTH competition as there is nothing in my area other than reduced service quality 🙁

Apologies, I didnt make clear, the other post was referring to “other” fiber providers. Not spectrum fiber.

FYI spectrum fiber has not much to do with high split. So just because its symmetric doesnt mean HS is done in the area.

MN was phase 1 was it not? This is kinda what Ive been saying on here. They seem to be continuing to expand phase 1 areas, but none of the phase 2 areas have been turned up, even if work has been done.

msumm I love you for finding this! Funny as many of us have checked archive.org and its never been on there. So I guess they recently posted it despite it not being a recent “archive”.

Now that we have the “master list” again, Ive been tracking the towns in NC for example. Theres several listed as “done” since early 26. This is also the part 1 list that was said to be “on” within 6 months. None of them have it available at all. This is why I dont think anywhere has had phase 2 turned up, regardless if its done or not.

CBusdude They keep saying its in progress in earnings calls. But its been getting less and less details… Next earnings is in about 2 weeks. So we will have to see what is said then.

zapman987 All I get right now are more and more service interruptions. But I know if I call Spectrum they will say it’s because I don’t have their router.

zapman987 phase 1 included Rochester MN and other towns surrounding that area Albert Lea was one of them. A larger portion of the MN Charter footprint was scheduled for later phases.

Phase 1 has been completed for about a year. Everything now is phase 2 or 3. They are installing DAA 1.8GHz vecima nodes now. Phase one uses legacy nodes and CCAP CMTS.

Technically all phase 2 and 3 areas are cutover to the new vCMTS the moment the node is replaced. They are waiting on the entire hub to be completed and potentially several hubs in a group before increasing speeds.
