drbroccoli00 I’m not unhappy at all.
I’ve directly connected thousands and indirectly connected hundreds of thousands through my work. I worked with many companies to do it using satellite, twisted pair, wireless, coax, and fiber. Helped a customer light up a new 100gb connection just a couple of days ago. I’m almost always working on the next thing but realize there’s always a solution for today. Solving problems makes me happy, and I do it every day.
There is more choice than most realize and more can be good, but it’s disingenuous to blame the leader when others aren’t making a real attempt to compete. Consumers don’t get internet without the companies and companies don’t exist without the consumers. They depend on each other.
You pay for wireless and wireline providers, while another phone wireline provider runs by your home and satellite providers cruise overhead, yet complain of only one provider. If that “one provider” you currently use shut down today, what would you do?
BTW, you still haven’t defined “modern” connection.
