Some do. None of Apple’s products ever supported 40MHz on 2.4GHz or 160MHz on 5GHz, and it seems like few wireless routers do also.
hex0101 Also, I forgot for a moment that Wi-Fi 7 increases the channel width to 320 MHz (if the AP is set for 320 MHz). There is only enough 6 GHz spectrum for 3 non overlapping channels in this case. Ouch.
Yeah, but MLO makes it unnecessary to run a 320MHz channel of 6GHz, and again client devices currently don’t support that.
The iPhones right now are limited to just 160MHz on Wi-Fi 7.
I doubt any routers will be set to 320MHz out of the box.
Typically the best choice will be 160MHz of 6GHz + 80MHz of 5GHz using MLO.

The iPhone currently only supports Enhanced Multilink Single‐Radio (EMLSR), which means it only uses one band at a time, not both simultaneously.
So the iPhone’s Wi-Fi 7 speeds right now are identical to Wi-Fi 6E.
I would expect the iPhones announced later this year should improve that with newer chipsets.
