UM shocks the word and beats OSU in the first CFP quarterfinal! Although OSU was overrated. The only serious competition they had during the regular season was their very first game.

Spent my New Year’s watching two duds in the CFB playoffs: Oregon beat Texas Tech 23-0 in the Orange Bowl, and Indiana crushed ’bama 38-3 in the Rose, neither game was close. TT’s defense to their credit kept Oregon in check most of the game, their offense on the other hand, was abysmal. Turns out I missed the most exciting game of the day–Ole Miss over Georgia 39-34 in the Sugar. Stupid work making me go to bed early!

The last 15 minutes(Real time) was rediculous, but it’s not being talked about because it didn’t change the outcome of the game. There was an incomplete lateral pass that hit a pylon on the way out of bounds, leading to a safety(After a 5 minute reply review that put 1 second on the clock). Then on the free kick, nobody touched the ball, allowing for another pay(After another 5 minute replay review). That play was 20 laterals that only went backward. In between the plays, they setup and took down the trophy ceremony stage.

Cam Little, the Jaguars’ star kicker nailed a 67-yard field goal, which is the second-longest in NFL history behind… his own 68-yard field goal.

And he had 70 yarder in preseason. 😮

and congrats to the New York Jets, who, for the first time in NFL history (well, since 1933 when the league started recording them as a stat) went an ENTIRE season without getting an interception.
think about that, no tipped balls, no deflections, no errant passes, and these guys play Tua twice a year!
