The three meal delivery services and Amazon invariably change projected delivery times to much later. I mean, literally every single time. Why don’t they just tell the truth. It’s ok if drivers can’t meet schedule, they do their best. But I blame the companies for applying pressure and lying. It needs to stop.

Companies lie so much nowadays. It’s like the snake oil days of yesteryear. Why isn’t government holding them accountable? It’s with big pharma too, and nutritional products. like Bald treatments, snake oil crap. Stop being ashamed of being bald, embrace it!!!

HooRU I wouldn’t use Amazon for things like meals. They are too unreliable.

Amazon is mostly using GrubHub.

If need be, try others such as DoorDash or UberEats.

If these are small orders (one meal for one person) they’re probably not getting priority service.

The restaurant loses money on fees (I know this from talking to restaurant owners), and the actual driver won’t get a big tip from a small order.

Use DoorDash, but you’d better give a “proper” tip lest you have your holster ready for a Shootout at the O.K. Corral. This isn’t the only story about DoorDash drivers either.

Less expensive, you get better food, know what’s in it plus how it is prepared.

Around here we might go out twice a month, the rest of the time I cook everything, many times in bulk to be packed in meal size reusable containers and frozen for another day.

And then there is canning.

Well they need to understand we are so far out of town no one other than the USPS, UPS or Fedex delivers out here.

That has not been our experience. While we don’t have a need for meal delivery, we do order and send packages. Delivery estimates are generally accurate, and UPS and FedEx send me notifications of changes. We have accounts with both, and use USPS’s Informed Delivery service to track packages. USPS package service has also done well with our tracked items, with very few delays from estimated schedules.

I wish I could can my own beer but I doubt setting up the process would be easy nor, could I figure out out how to do it. ;-)

Now I have a neighbor who I donated a roll of ¼″ stainless steel to set up his still, the shine he cranked was probably 200 proof, I tried a sip of it and thought my mouth and throat was on fire, him and his buddies thought that was funny as they liked it just fine.

Never tired that stuff again.
