Xfinity now including unlimited data with customer modem

I just noticed with the new Xfinity plan updates on the website today, unlimited data is included regardless of whether or not you use their gateway. It appears “xfi complete” is no longer a thing.

hex0101 I dont know but in my area the Xfinity stores will sign up any existing customer to a current promo pricing at any time. Takes about 5 minutes last time I did it.

I’m not currently a customer so I can’t tell you what it says for current customers in my area.

Yeah, OK, I just checked for my area and the speeds shown are now 300, 500, 1 Gig and 1.2 Gig, all with “WiFi Equipment and unlimited data included”

My current 400 tier is not shown now. It looks like they’ve sync’ed up all HSI speed tiers with the X-Class ones now.

That’s great news. I pay $35 a month for 400/150, but with the data cap. If that plan and price existed without the cap, I’d have no interest in looking elsewhere for service.
But right now the only options I see to change my current plan are 1 gig or 2 gig, which I’m not interested in.
My current promo is up in like August so I’ll probably have to get in touch with them in the near future in any case

I noticed 5 year guarantee plans say NO ANNUAL CONTRACT
so they are locked in, but I can quit/change plans anytime?
I might try the 1 year 500/500 plan, and hope for an even better plan later.

Confirmed in our area using your own equipment and now getting unlimited data. At least according to the website. So, that means I could go from 200/20 to 300/35 & a free unlimited phone line for a year at the same price. Tempting, but I’m not convinced they’ve done away with the data cap. Their website still shows it in effect, so wondering if this is all just part of the 1 & 5 year promos. https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet-service/data/

Tshirt In my area, they haven’t required a contract for the lower prices for a few years. It is just a price lock guarantee.

I already called in and switched to the the 1Gig plan price locked for 5-yrs for $65.99 (as an existing customer). The change order is still pending however.

I think this decision to eliminate the data cap was long overdue, especially with as many problems as Comcast has had over the years with their data meter. Still, their rack-rate pricing in areas not upgraded to D4.0 is hardly competitive, and if they are still going for ARPU you may not get the next promo as a current customer. In my area, the 1Gig promo pricing for 1 year is $50/month (if you want to take the chance giving them your bank account) or $65/month for 5 years. This is on sub-split, no mid-split or D4.0 in sight. After your promo the price goes to $110/month. Most fiber providers charge ~$70/month or so for Gigabit symmetrical, with no promo games or other BS. EZFiber (coming soon, supposedly) is $69/month for Gig up to $119/month for 8Gig with free WiFi7 router. It’s amazing what competition and loss of market share can accomplish, but I still think Comcast has a ways to go.

Might Repackage in the future, but currently when i login only see Current 1Gig Plan for price paying now, or +26.85 for 1.2 Gig on both 5 year plan and 1 year plan options

Currently also paying for Xfi Complete–might wait til its fully available possibly, then repackage plan, and think should be good after that.

right now on Current plan paying for Popular TV, Gigabit Internet $119.00, Home Phone, and Xfi Complete, More Sports & Entertainment, DVR fee, and 2 TV boxes. Total $213.90
