px_eliezer_ Or still work at a job, or volunteer service, or have to drive the kids (or grandkids).
Technically I am retired but was convinced to come back as a contractor for my old employer a tier 1 wireless carrier, but there where conditions that we came to an agreement on, the majority of my work would be from home, a max of 32 hours per week preferably less, a lot less, but most important to me I would work evenings 4 til what ever, the last one they preferred as it cut back on call outs and OT.
As such if I do have to visit a site it is at night, which is not too bad as usually my wife will go with me, I will solve the problem kick it back to the NOC and then we go to dinner and I get to bill for all the time away from home.
The downside is nighttime driving, but the nice side I am usually on a route with little traffic and no streetlights which I prefer.
To improve my nigh time driving experience I retrofitted my incandescent headlight bulbs with a drop in Xenon kit, it ran me about $300 but is 250% brighter and is a pure white light with the same legal pattern.
Between that and the FLIR nighttime driving is very easy and safe for me.
