It’s Friday! I had an interesting week. First, I had a reason to check my home’s radon mitigation system. Radon is the number 2 cause of lung cancer after smoking.

I’ve never smoked and had no history of lung cancer in my family. Yet, they found a very small (“micro”) module in my lung. Further evaluation (CT scan) in progress. It’s likely nothing, but it can’t be ignored. Based on scheduling, I should have results at the end of the month.

I bought a radon detector at Home Depot and checked the numbers. All good, all < 1 pCi/L..

Next, I cracked my iPhone 16 pro max’s screen protector. I dropped my iPhone and it did a face plant on my driveway. The Otterbox case handled it just fine. The screen protector did it’s job. Replacement is easy if you purchase a screen protector with an installation frame. Just place the frame over the phone, pull a tab, and the protector drops on the screen perfectly aligned.

I got the Torras brand on Amazon. It got good reviews and is one of the easiest brands out there to install. I would agree.

Krispy Kreme: Krispy Kreme is offering a free doughnut of most varieties at its stores on June 6. No purchase is necessary, but the offer is only valid in stores. Plus, if you buy a dozen Original Glazed donuts, you can get an additional dozen for $2.

Paris Baguette: Get a free sugar mochi or small twisted donut with any purchase.

px_eliezer_ Yes. It’s the OtterBox iPhone 16 Pro Max Defender case with a TORRAS Military-Grade Shatterproof Screen Protector. I don’t know which brand the broken screen protector was.

The case took a hit on the corner and cleaned up well with no damage.

For me, pork ribs baked in my toaster oven. Following a recipe, they were baked in 1 cup of beer, chile powder, cumin, and oregano. BBQ sauce on top.

Even found some milk that doesn’t taste like it still has traces of sanitizer!

Sounds good! Maybe a stout to add a malt sweetness to them. I’ve done western style ribs on the oven, but never country style or a rack.

The ranking by IQAir, a Swiss air quality technology company, placed the city below Detroit, U.S., Delhi, India, and Montreal, which remained in third place on Friday night as it also faces wildfire smoke from western provinces.

As of 9 p.m. Friday, air quality in Toronto was at seven on Environment Canada’s air quality health index, according to the weather agency’s website. A value between four to six is considered moderate risk, while seven to 10 is high risk, the agency’s website reads.
