I watched a youtuber from my wife’s country. She explained, at length, the general reasons young women there seem to prefer older men. Over there, there is a reverence for older citizens, and the women seek well grounded men who truly know what they want.
I wasn’t old when I met my girl, but she IS 11 years my junior, before I met her, I never considered dating someone so much younger, in fact, the ex wife was 7 years my senior.
Youth has it’s benefits, like being less risk-averse, more ready to adapt in some situations, better stamina and health, and a stronger will. The young are also more adaptable and sometimes more informed in certain areas.
Elders are more grounded, logical (sometimes), established, carry hard-won wisdom, and more experienced in interpersonal areas. Along with that is developed knowledge.
But the young hold knowledge better, while the elders use it better if they still have it.
I’ve thought about being young again, but I’m not so sure I’d want to be right now in this world. And I’ve lived a very interesting life which I wouldn’t trade for most other people’s.
