After a nice bike ride, I go for my usual walk around my neighborhood. One of my neighbors is moving and was having a yard sale on his driveway.
Out of the corner of my eye, I did a double-take. Yes, it was a Heathkit 25 MHz oscilloscope with 2 probes and manual for $30.
We had a nice discussion. It turns out he used to repair electronics a long time ago. He was very surprised to see that anyone knew what this was. Would he take $25? Yup.
The scope is now on my workbench. The CRT is working and the sweep is active, but I don’t see any signals. I’ll get more than my $25 worth having fun just to play around with it.
