RayGeode The hard part is what to do when you’re cleared to play. You might have great replacement parts, but the muscles need a few months to get back in shape.
You won’t be able to play at the same level of effort you were before - yet. It’s a tough problem. You don’t want to drop in level because (1) you have the skills to kill them every time and (2) the lower level play drags you down.
It’s not just your ability to move, but the tactics and strategy used to get you to your level of play. Before I had my knee replaced, I could barely run. However, I knew where to stand and could place my shots. A point is a point, regardless of how you get it.
I would suggest to try working with the group you’re playing with now. Start off with some drills and see how it goes. Work yourself into a few games where they understand it’s to help you recover.
