I certainly hope you get your kitty back. We don't let either of our current two kitties out under any circumstances because a long time ago we had one that had access to the outside and she wound up running away and we never got her back even though she had a chip. It was a convenient arrangement at the time because she just went outside and we didn't even have to have a litter for her for that reason. I had posted about this on DSLR that the reason I think she ran away was because my GF paid so much attention to her and was then not around much to keep paying her attention because of a job she got and I suppose she didn't get enough attention from me and therefore left home. Here's her pic--her name was Melanie. They can easily jump the six-foot fences we have, so I've just told our current ones that it has to be "life without parole" in the house. But although they seem to want to go out sometimes they both show us plenty of love, so I think that they are ok with the arrangement.

Just waiting for the raining to end and will put out a big bowl of food.

Luckily she knows where home is just that she doesn't meow or scratch at the door.

This photo is from this morning. She been back a few times. I have to make sure that the bowl of food is large enough that there will be food left over for her when the neighborhood cats comes over. She doesn't like other cats so she will hid until they leave.

I'm just happy that she knows there the house is because this is the second day of being outside. She hasn't been outside until now since I gotten her. She has a bad eye as well. I saw her at my neighbors house last night when I was shining a flash light but I had no idea where she went to.

I am getting Air Tag Colars for all of my cats and getting air tags that way I can just track them if one gets out.

Okay, based upon that alone, it is pretty safe to assume that whoever is behind those messages is potentially nefarious and not to be trusted. Shenanigans afoot, and if you have any other passwords that are the same as DSLR, change them immediately.

I'm glad to hear the above assessment. Especially from you. However, rest assured, thanks to some bitter, low life scum who was having fun with password resets on DSLR (and then routinely trying to blame it on certain posters they disagreed with) -- many of us should have a pretty safe password there.

It makes me wonder if that's the same person as my impostor here and elsewhere. 😉

I know both @broknsymetry and @GeekGirl1 have posted referrals to this forum on DSLR and they said they disappeared after the fact.

I had something similar and odd happen. The first time I was able to get into DSLR, I posted in one of the Artify threads a reply that simply said "bye". The next time I went in for my 5 minute session, I saw that I was listed as the last poster in that particular thread; however, my post was gone so I was not the last poster. Figure that one out. 🤷‍♀️

Maybe something to do with the supposed read only status??

Apparently IMs and emails still work, for now. I don't think it's LW, why bother with such a small site when they have plenty of others to bring them income? As far as being nefarious actors, if so they already have all the data they need so why bring the site up, especially only for 5 minutes per hour?

broknsymetry I suspect this is some sort of peace offering, and compromise reached with LW. Having joined DSLr later on (08) I don't really have as much experience with management as others here so I don't know much.

To attract and identify active email accounts, assuming an nefarious actor is now in charge. Caution should be the default position. The 5 minutes at the top of each hour could just be to focus people on trying to get in. Creates a sense of urgency.

Oh, and if anyone is using the same email address and password on any other site, you might want to change that now on those other sites. Yes, some people do that.

I tried again. My posts from the last hour remained, so I tried again this hour. They remained, so I posted in every forum I could access in 5 minutes. Someone did respond to one of the posts, so they're being seen. I am hopeful.

If the site admins are reading the posts, they're seeing a polite, respectful post. That could be the difference, hard to say.

You make a valid point, The current operation of the site is so bizarre that either it's a trap, or we're being screwed around for fun. The likelihood of it coming back after the abrupt exit seems low; it requires a suspension of disbelief to think someone had a change of heart.
