Ditto - display turned on and alert popped up on screen. No sound. Google Pixel 8 Pro / Telus / in DND mode.

I’m fine with emergencies, a child custody dispute 500km away at 3am in the morning is not what I care to hear.

Having said that, they must have refined their internal processes on how and where these are being issued, because I really don’t recall any of those being issued at night in the past several years.

The only person who seems to be whining is you.

But if anyone is bothered by this and hasn’t deleted the .APK file yet, on my phone I simply had to uninstall com.android.cellbroadcastreceiver and it doesn’t require rooting the phone.

Never said I have issues with a test. You said “commence with the whinging about people who don’t like actually being informed when there’s an emergency situation”. You did not say “commence with the whinging about people who don’t like testing the emergency system”. Those are two completely different things.

LA doesn’t have any Disney.

Disneyland is Anaheim and Disneyworld is Orlando.

Then there is Tokyo Disney Resort which has 2, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea.
France has Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Shanghai Disney Resort.
