computerman2 Gateway rebooted at 4am, and now have the 8.0P4s1 Noticing no issues in tasks i tried so far All seems to be working fine at this stage will advise if i do notice anything later on
jweaver Same here, mine rebooted about 3:30 AM local time. Seems to act the same, same bugs for a while.
Aceq2jot jweaver I am having the same bugs as the previous build with it showing no downstream channels and then if i refresh upstream channels disappear. Also it does not show an IPV6 address DHCP Lease Expire Time same as the last build for me. And it must be something Comcast is doing as my IPV4 DHCP Lease Expire Time is still 2hrs for some reason.
kmax Aceq2jot Just keep paying your bill and accept what they give you. They are only looking out at your best interests.
kmax PineappleBacon If you keep refreshing it will be like a casino slot machine and will eventually crank out the numbers.
fmd kmax The display bug is still present, I presume. If pushing F5 a number of times can get all the channels, maybe someone could make a script that does it automatically, to work around this annoying bug.
kmax fmd The display bug is still present, I presume. You bet! Death, taxes, and the display bug. The 3 only certainties of life.
crucialcolin Just upgraded from an XB7 to an XB8 myself. I’m only seeing between one and 4 upload channels. All of them ATDMA yet I’m in a mid-split area and still hitting 200+ mbps upload speeds. IS OFDMA missing from the interface typically part of the display bug? Also not sure I’m going keep it. The thing has already crashed and rebooted twice on me when connecting my Pixel 8P to Wi-Fi. Also the fan seems be a bit noisy for my liking compared to my XB7.
Chris313AllNight crucialcolin Do you think you’ve got a bad one? I’ve had an XB8 off the truck for about a year. Unless I’m deaf, I don’t think I’ve heard the fan on this thing once. Where did you put yours? Mine is on my desk with my computer and things. It’s got plenty of room to be able to breathe.
crucialcolin Chris313AllNight yeah mine has to be my bedroom unfortunately so it needs to be reasonably quiet or i don’t sleep. More importantly when i was checking it out good leaning my ears within about 2-3 ft you can hear a ticking sound emanate from what I assume is fan which worries me overall longevity. That and the fact it’s rebooted a couple of times. The Xfinity Store Rep said I had to return one of the gateways within 10 days otherwise I’d like to run it through its paces for few days.
