John_deSouza I’m relatively new but can I make a suggestion? Put all the Today in History threads in their own forum/tag. They are currently all lumped into the Open forum and it would be good to have them all in one place.
Heat84 This is a bad idea, but I’ll ask just for giggles. How about a WebMD type section where we could ask for medical advice? I know somebody here is a doctor(Px_eliezer?). Maybe they can answer all the questions. Hopefully they wouldn’t bill us😂.

Heat84 What about bringing back the It’s The Economy Stupid section? It was created during the Great Recession, and towards the end of the Great Recession or right after it ended, the powers that be at DSLR shut it down for some reason. I think it was resurrected once or twice but was eventually shut down for good. I found it very informative and was a frequent poster in there(Asking questions only, I’m pretty sure I was never able to answer any). A couple people people in there were very knowledgeable. Gomez for one. SnakeOil is in there too. Did he come here?

px_eliezer_ InternetJeff It’s perhaps reflective of our society today, but it’s increasingly hard to think of ANY area which is not touched upon by politics. Other than “what’s your favorite color”, “isn’t this a cute puppy”, “we sure got lots of rain”, etc. 🙂
Somewhat-Reticent px_eliezer_ The challenge is the self-discipline to keep it civil. ( Plus the energy cost of moderating all the brats who won’t. )

Heat84 Heat84 Are we gonna bring back the regional threads? The Southeast section was a great place for talking about the hurricanes. Although that was about all it was used for. I’m not sure how busy the other reigonal sections were. I wonder if the person who made the hurricane threads came here. Maybe it was more than one person. Edit: I see other people already made this request. And with hurricanes in mind. It doesn’t look like this request has been filled yet. Hurricane season is 3 weeks away.
