actually checking for foomatic on my own system, I think that’s actually grep highlighting it in red…. 😉 if you do the search again and give a longer grep string (say foomatic-db-compressed) I’m guessing that part will be red.
in my case, i don’t have foomatic installed. but that’s because cups on arch pulls down “cups-filters” as a dependency, which includes the most commonly used printer drivers. my printer’s a Brother laser which is included in that package so I didn’t need foomatic.
