Day 7 of Quitting Smoking and Vaping instead to finish quitting.

So far it has been a week for me of not actually smoking a real cigarette. Decided to switch to Vaping instead. Been doing pretty good with control my sugars and the fact that I am not smoking and don’t want a real cigarette. This Friday I will be ordering more cartiages for my vapes and lowing the nicotine from 20 mg to 12 mg and then slowly work my way to the 0 mg ones to completely stopping.

Cigarettes, pipes and cigars. I used to love going to the Tinder Box store in the mall, smelled like heaven. I was also a member of the Cigar of the Month Club for a while.

An uncle who’d chain-smoked for decades noted it was getting hard to breathe.
His doc told showed him some very clear lung X-rays.
Estimated he’d last 3 months without quitting, up to 6 if lucky;
the end would not be pleasant.
Promised to help him medically if he quit.
He coughed & spit sludge for two years, and lived for 6 more thereafter.
Also got his wind back as he cleared his lungs out.

Likewise ging to university, but it was too much trouble, a looooong time ago, like 1978.

I’ve never dated a smoker, it’s a no go for me. If you avoid being around smokers you will do better.

Wasn’t hard to sniff it out at first; motivated him to learn about cleaning it.

Rich221976 I hope you are Nicotine free still, my one year anniversary is today and I can say that if I didn’t quit then, I doubt I would be here to post about it on this day. By the way if I didn’t have a cold, my urge to smoke a cigar in celebration might be stronger. Had to throw that out there, because the triggers are still everywhere, it is just easier to navigate around them now.
