Kathy_9 Wow, same here. Got pneumonia in 2013, couldn’t smoke. Whenever I tried, it felt like my lungs slammed shut and would not accept the smoke. By the time I was able to smoke again, I was through the nicotine withdrawal and decided to take it one day at a time in terms of quitting. I too never looked back and can’t stand the smell of cigarette smoke.
Keep at it Rich - you can do it. 👍
I couldn’t stop smoking even when I was super sick. I did quit once. I was able to stop for up to a year. That’s my longest. I was able to stop with the patches then. However, now I will just smoke though with the patches.
The gum worked but… I couldn’t stop chewing the gum. I went back to smoking due to the gum killing my mouth.
I just cooked some pasta, and I am like where are my cigs. Oh wait you don’t have any. I have already gone though the house and got rid of all of the ash trays and the butts. I do miss my ash try, I gotta get me a pencil holder cup. When I needed to take my insulin, I was putting the paper in the ash try. Now I don’t have that LOL.
Even though I am vaping, I already seeing better benefits. My breathing is much better already. Before at night I could hear all of the noises that my lungs were making. I don’t look forward to my first cold this year lol.
I started smoking when I was 17. I was able to buy cigs easy back then. I did get caught twice at high school. However, we found other places to smoke and not get caught. So I been a smoker for about 32 years.
Can’t wait til Friday and I lower the nicotine amount. For two people, we have been spending about 1300 on smokes a month alone. This will free up some income.
